Etsys’ rooftop pop-up

Last night, Etsy launched its pop-up store on the rooftop of John Lewis’ Oxford Street flagship store in London. A temporary marketplace that will display 20 of Etsys’ most talented sellers across the UK, visitors over the weekend will get to browse tropical inspired stationary, faux taxidermy, participate in DIY workshops and much more!

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, Etsy has become the online destination for quality handmade products. A hub for artisans to sell their goods worldwide, Etsy has opened a door for boutique crafters and small businesses, shining a light on their unique work and establishing a new found appreciation for the handmade and handcrafted.

Running across the bank holiday weekend in London, from Thursday 25th until Monday 29th August, 2016, Etsys’ pop-up marketplace is part of John Lewis’ #GardenSociety summer line-up. On the beautifully decorated rooftop of the Oxford Street flagship store, visitors will get lost among the vast green space as they browse the 20 Etsy entrepreneurs that will be showcasing and selling their designs. Delicious street food from the American BBQ connoisseurs, Shotgun, will also be available and a free cross stitch workshop with blogger, Anna from Mother Pukka and Etsy seller, Ruth from The Make Arcade on Saturday from 1:15-3:15pm.

Etsy exhibitors include PASiNGA, Sincerely Louise, Nikki Strange, Ms Spanner, Cookie Art London, Fox In The Attic, ToriLoDesigns, The Make Arcade, Studio Emma Mcdowall, Inky and the Beast, A Petal Unfolds, Helen Beard Ceramics, Noraklotz, PygmyCloud, Lucie Ellen, SandyLeafFarm, iamacylic, Fox and Lilly, Wild Fawn Jewellery, and Maria Allen Boutique.
